Borderless is a masterplan proposal for a mixed-use development in Kehl, Germany—just 7 km from Strasbourg, France—aimed at revitalizing the quieter northern part of the city. Positioned along the Rhine River and surrounded by residential, hospitality, and transit infrastructure, the project leverages Kehl’s rich cultural and historical connection with Strasbourg to create an immersive, cross-border public space.
Shaped by community feedback through local questionnaires, the proposal blends cultural, social, and economic activities under one cohesive framework. The northern plot features cultural venues, riverside restaurants, and serviced apartments, while the southern plot integrates courtyard offices, market spaces, and a hotel—redefining the area as a lively, inclusive urban destination that visually and experientially dissolves the border between the two cities.
