Countryside Home in Normandy, France

Located in the serene village of Les Bottereaux, Normandy, this project involved the thoughtful renovation of an old wooden family home that no longer met the spatial demands of a growing household.

Our brief was to reimagine the house to function more efficiently while staying rooted in the local aesthetic character. The design preserves the home’s original charm through minimal and elegant interventions, improving the internal layout and optimizing spatial flow—all while retaining the warmth of the timber framework.

Beyond the interiors, we introduced new outdoor social spaces to support the evolving lifestyle of the family. These include a pool, a covered outdoor dining area, and a barbecue corner, creating a seamless connection between indoor living and the tranquil landscape of rural Normandy.

The result is a home that blends tradition with modern comfort, extending its legacy while adapting it for contemporary family life.
